Due to Icelandic volcanic ash over European airspace, several airports in Europe have now been closed including London (LHR), Paris (CDG) and Frankfurt (FRA) airports normally operated by Gulf Air. All Gulf Air flights to and from these three destinations have been cancelled until further notice. Passengers with onward connections to/via Europe via Bahrain will not be accepted for travel from their point of origin. Gulf Air passengers, who were booked and ticketed to travel on a cancelled flight during the period affected by volcanic ash in April 2010, are offered the following alternative options: a. Cancel their ticket and claim a full refund. Any fees associated with the refund are waived. Refund will be credited to the original form of payment. For bookings done directly with Gulf Air or on gulfair.com, please refer to nearest Gulf Air office or the Gulf Air World Wide Call Centre. For bookings done with a travel agent, please contact that issuing agent. b. Rebook to a new date for travel in the original class of travel. Any rebooking charges or difference in fares are waived. Passengers with tickets whose validity has ended during this period of disruption can contact Gulf Air to get their tickets’ validity extended for use until 31st May 2010.
Gulf Air passengers holding confirmed tickets on disrupted flights to/from these airports should not come to the departing airports without checking their flight status on gulfair.com
