At the airport, you will be met by your private guide and chauffeur driven vehicle. You will start your visit of Vietnam with a short city tour. After lunch in Vietnam House you will visit the Reunification Palace, the residence of the presidents of South Vietnam, before 1975. Drive to Cholon, the Chinese quarter to visit the Thien Hau pagoda, and stroll through the immense Binh Tay Market.
This morning you will be picked up from the hotel by your private guide and driver for your excursion to Tay Ninh and the Cu Chi tunnels. Drive to Tay Ninh where you will visit the main church of Cao Daism. This religion, which is unique to Vietnam, is a universal faith with the principle that all religions have one same divine origin. You will arrive in Tay Ninh in time to witness the noon mass which is a colorful spectacle. Afternoon, we will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Lunch along the way. During the Vietnam war the Vietcong dug out an extensive tunnel complex that served as a sanctuary in the fight against American forces. Part of the complex has been left in its original state. You can crawl through these tunnels, a harrowing experience indeed.
Today you will drive to the Mekong Delta, the first leg of your journey to Cambodia. Drive to Mytho Drop off. Boat trip on Mekong river to visit the floating fish farm, take a sightseeing at 4 islands : Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn and Turtle. Stop at local traditional handicraft village for pop rice, rice paper mill and then by boat along river. Take a horse riding on the country road. Enjoy tropical fruit and we can drink honey tea, medical rice wine while listen to traditional folk songs. Take a rowing boat along the canals to explore the daily life of local people.
Then drive to Can Tho -the busiest and biggest city in the Mekong Delta. Arrival Can Tho, check in hotel. Free at leisure.
Around Cantho are some of the most interesting floating markets in the Mekong Delta: Cai Rang. Mostly fruit and vegetables are for sale on the water and you will visit both markets when they are at their busiest, in the early morning. You will do that of course....by boat. Back to Cantho. After lunch you will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Fly Ho Chi Minh City to Danang on Vietnam Airlines Economy class
Meet upon arrival by your private guide and chauffeur driven vehicle and transfer to your hotel.
Today you will explore Hoi An by foot with your private guide. Drive the shore distance to Hoi An. You will visit the Museum of History and Culture, the Tan Ky house, the Japanese bridge, the Fujian Assembly Hall and other sights of interest. Lunch will be at a local restaurant serving the delicious dish "Cao Lao". Return to the hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner on own.
After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel by your private guide and driver. Visit the nearby Marble Mountains and the famous Cham Museum in Danang. This museum displays artifacts from the culture of Champa. We continue our drive to Hue. Drive to Hue over the Hai Van Pass from where you have fantastic views over the South China Sea. In the afternoon we will enjoy a seafood lunch at a restaurant at Lang Co. Arrival in Hue.
Established as the capital of unified Viet Nam in 1802, Hué was not only the political but also the cultural and religious centre under the Nguyen dynasty until 1945. Hue was declared a UNESCO World Heritage in 1993.
After an early breakfast we board a private dragon boat for a pleasant boat trip on the Perfume River. You will visit the characteristic Tien Mu Pagoda and the tombs of the Nguyen emperors Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. After lunch in a local restaurant you will visit the Forbidden Purple City, constructed under Emperor Gia Long's reign in the early 19th century AD. It's located inside the Citadel of Hue, which was badly damaged during the Tet offensive in 1968. Dinner on own.
You will be picked up from the hotel by your private guide and driver. They will transfer you to the airport and will assist you with checking in.
Fly Hue to Hanoi on Vietnam Airlines Economy class
Meet upon arrival by your private guide and chauffeur driven vehicle and transfer to your hotel. Check-in. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon visit of the Thay Pagoda and the Thay Phuong Pagoda.
This comprehensive day tour takes in all of Hanoi's essential sites. In the morning we will visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (1), his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature Lunch at the Press Club. Afterwards we head to Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan Kiem Lake and dates back to the 13th century. The lake itself is a picturesque focal point of Hanoi, frequented by tourists and locals alike. Take a relaxing one hour cyclo tour through the Old Quarter. Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities. At approximately 6pm we will return you to your hotel. If you wish we can arrange for you to watch a performance of the famous Water Puppet Theatre ( excluded entrance fee )
Pick up by your private guide and driver and transfer to Halong Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin. Halong Bay includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. In 1994 Ha Long Bay was declared a UNESCO World Heritage. After a three hour drive board the deluxe Indochina sail for your two day/one night join-in trip through fascinating Halong Bay. Enjoy a welcome Drink. You will receive cruise briefing a briefing on the cruise. After this you will be assigned to your cabin and we will start cruising. Enjoy lunch on board. Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise.
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast visit a beautiful limestone grotto then return to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the pier. Your private guide and driver will wait for you to transfer you back to Hanoi. Rest of the day free al leisure.
